ITALY FROM THE ALPS TO MOUNT ETNA. It s Arts, It s Cities, It s Lakes, It s Rivers

(London: William Glaisher, 1903).

AN UNUSUALLY BRIGHT AND HANDSOME COPY. This is an extremely attractive Italian travel book with beautiful engravings on almost every page. The first-hand narrative enters Italy through Mont Cenis, and moves on to Trentino, Verona, Venice, Mantua, Milan, the lakes, Genoa, Florence, Siena, and many others ending at the Island of Etna. The text is written in a clear and congenial style, with great awareness of literature and the arts as it moves from one historic town to the next. A lovely addition to any Italian collection.
