Profusely illustrated with 66 photographic illustrations, 51 figurative illustrations, and a folding map. 8vo, publisher s original red cloth over boards, ruled in blind on the covers, lettered in gilt on the spine. xl, 328 pp. A very good copy, the cloth lightly mellowed, text clean and well preserved, some evidence of damp to a small section of the rear cover edge and a spot on the front cover edge, a bit of bleeding of the red onto the edges not affecting the text.
