ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND and THROUGH THE LOOKING-GLASS

(New York: Random House, 1946).

A lovely special edition by Random House. Kredel’s coloring of Tenniel’s illustrations is noteworthy, somewhat softer and more delicate then is found in many other colored editions. In all a very fine presentation of the classic Alice tales. Item #32182

2 volumes. First edition thus. A Random House “Special Edition” With the original John Tenniel illustrations colored by Fritz Kredel. 8vo, publisher's original boards decorated in colours, backed in red and blue cloth and lettered in gilt on the spine panels. 150; 165 pp. A very good set, the spine panels a bit mellowed, normal evidence of use, the hinges fine and strong, the text-blocks and illustrations all clean and in good order.
