THE REIVERS A Reminiscence

(New York: Random House, [1962]).

FIRST EDITION OF THIS PULITZER-PRIZE WINNING NOVEL, THE AUTHOR’S LAST PUBLISHED WORK, AS WELL AS BEING TRULY ONE OF HIS BEST NOVELS AND THE WINNER OF HIS SECOND PULITZER. This novel made Faulkner one of only a tiny handful of authors to be awarded the Pulitzer more then once. Unlike many of his earlier works, it is a straightforward narration and eschews the complicated literary techniques that were his earlier calling-card, for many readers this contributes to it being one of his best works. Item #33596

First edition, stated first printing. 8vo, publisher’s red cloth gilt lettered on upper cover and spine with ruling in light red, in the original dustjacket. 305pp. A very fine copy, the book near as pristine, clean, fresh, unworn and unfaded, the jacket is complete and fully intact, also clean and fresh but with some light rubbing or creasing to the extremities of the brown area of the paper as appears to be nearly always the case.
