FIRST EDITION IN PUBLIC FORM. These chronicles are reprinted from the family records and published by the descendants of the famous hosts and hostesses at "Eleutherian Mills". The notes describe the meaning of many of the entries including historical and genealogical information on prominent guests. This copy also has a letter from the Eleutherian Mills Historical Library dated 1982 to an individual giving a history of the publication. Item #70155

7 volumes. First Edition. Frontispiece illustration of the estate's piazza and two other black and white illustrations. Small 8vo, original wraps bound by pink ribbons. A fine set, the pamphlets in excellent condition, the clamshell case now with back separated but present.
